COMPANY INFORMATION

Volare, LLC, located in Northeast Ohio , is an independent publishing company and a member of PMA, the Independent Book Publishing Association . Volare, also handles the manufacturing of merchandise and apparel which, including the books, constitutes The BigHeds franchise.

Our mission is to produce books that are competitive, well publicized, and nationally distributed. In addition, the books will take on tough issues facing today's youth. In today's society happy endings seem impossible, but our children's books illustrate by showing acts of love, perseverance, and faith, happy endings are very obtainable.

DEMOGRAPHICS OF TARGET AUDIENCE

Our target audience is age birth to 8. The readability level is 7 and 8 (grade 2). The listening level is under 6 years of age (pre-K through grade 1)

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Volare is an Italian word, which means to fly, but we at Volare want today's youths to soar. We are pleased to announce the release of a new series of children's books, "The BigHeds' Adventures". The series chronicles the journey of adorable cosmic creatures with tiny bodies and big heads from the coolest planet in outer space, to a deserted island here on earth, then back to their home planet again.

The vision for The BigHeds' Adventures series is to provide relatable stories that help children understand the importance of being kind to others, to help them bolster their self-esteem, and how to better accept the uniqueness of others; to motivate and spark the love of reading. The characters featured throughout the series are unique and adorable; compelling illustrations by Linzi Miller help define the stories, and the series (Juvenile-Children/Young Adult; pre-K to 6 to 8) contains an entertaining plot full of suspense, drama, and humor.

Penned by the daughter of Olympic boxing champion Ronnie Harris, Ms. Tumeka Harris confronts difficult children's issues with warmth, humor, and heartfelt awareness . To complement "The BigHeds' Adventures", additional books featuring The BigHeds and a full line of BigHeds merchandise are currently in development.
